This goal seeks to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Zimbabwe has developed and operationalized a National Renewable Energy Policy which seeks to increase access to clean and affordable energy. The policy has targets for renewable energy in the country based on the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in line with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Most of the strategies are still in formative stages hence the need to speed up the implementation process.
