Terms of Reference for Website Development

Adult Rape Clinic (ARC) is a non-profit organisation that provides comprehensive medical and psychotherapy support services to all survivors of sexual violence.

Objective: To develop a website that will serve as an informative and engaging platform for survivors, advocates, potential donors, and anyone interested in learning more about our organisation.

Audience: The website will be used by survivors of sexual violence, potential donors, volunteers, and anyone seeking information about the organisation and its services.

 

Functionality:

  1. Informational: The website should provide information about the organisation’s services, mission, and vision. It should also provide resources and support for survivors of sexual violence, including advocacy resources, referral services, and a helpline.
  2. Donor Relations: The website should showcase the organisation’s impact, success stories, and encourage donations, fundraising, and volunteering.
  3. SEO: The website should be optimised for search engines, including relevant keywords, meta tags, and descriptions.
  4. Design: The website should have a clean, modern, and user-friendly design that is easy to navigate and accessible to everyone.
  5. Security: The website should be secure, with appropriate measures in place to protect sensitive information.

 

Inspiration: The website developer should draw inspiration from websites like https://rapecrisis.org.uk/, which has a similar focus on supporting survivors of sexual violence.

Technical Assistance: The website developer should provide technical assistance to ensure that the website is secure, including SSL certification, backups, and regular security updates.

Timeline: The consultant should be able to provide detailed development and launch timelines from beginning to completion of the project.

Budget: Interested consultants should provide a quotation for the project inclusive of all costs, such as web design, development, hosting, and technical assistance.

The consultant will work under the guidance and supervision of the Communications Officer to ensure that all content is presented in a sensitive and supportive manner.
